18 - Farish, Mary Cornelia Our Family Complete Family List Return To Main Family Site
Mays, Mary Cornelia
We knew Mary as "Ganny", which her granddaughter, Mary Frances, also took as she got older and had five grandchildren, all girl.
The Farrish's were a mining family and moved all over the west. They lived in Tombstone at the time of the OK Corral and Wyatt Earp. She knew him but not so personally. It was, after all, a small town. And the silver mine was still going.
Before she died in 1965, my mother recorded her on several tapes telling all the stories. She was alert, but almost blind by this time. Look for these recordings on this site when I finally get to it! - March 2016
Charles was a miner and spent a lot of time in Peru
