We knew Mary as "Ganny", which her granddaughter, Mary Frances, also took as she got older and had five grandchildren, all girl.
The Farrish's were a mining family and moved all over the west. They lived in Tombstone at the time of the OK Corral and Wyatt Earp. She knew him but not so personally. It was, after all, a small town. And the silver mine was still going.
Charles was a miner and spent a
